Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Dubbing Still Images Recorded On A Tape To A Memory Card
Still images can be dubbed from a tape to a memory card.

Protecting Files
The Protect mode helps prevent the accidental erasure of files.

1 Perform steps 1 – 3 in “Normal Playback Of
Images” (

1 Load a cassette. ( pg. 16) 2 Load a memory card. ( pg. 17) 3 Set “SNAP/SLOW” to the desired mode.

2 Press MENU. The Menu Screen appears. 3 Press + or – to select “PROTECT”, and press
MENU. The Sub Menu appears. To protect the currently displayed file

4 Set the VIDEO/MEMORY Switch to “VIDEO”. 5 Set the Power Switch to “PLAY” while
pressing down the Lock Button located on the switch. 6 Set “ COPY” to “ON”. ( pg. 31, 35)

“CURRENT”, and press MENU. The PROTECT screen appears.

5 Slide the Power Zoom
Lever towards “T” or “W” to select the desired file.

7 Press 4/9 to start playback. 8 At the point you want to dub, press 4/9
again to engage Still Playback. 9 To dub the image, press SNAPSHOT.

6 Press + or – to select
“EXECUTE”, and press MENU.

NOTES:

● To use Playback Special effects with a video image you wish to dub, perform up to step 9 using the remote control. ( pg. 24) ● Images are dubbed in 640 x 480 pixels.

● To cancel protection, select “RETURN”. ● Repeat steps 5 and 6 for all files you want to protect.

Resetting The File Name
By resetting the file name, a new folder will be made. The new files you are going to make will be stored in the new folder. It is convenient to separate the new files from previously made files.

To protect all files stored in the memory card 4 Press + or – to select “PROT.ALL”, and press MENU. The PROTECT screen appears. 5 Press + or – to select “EXECUTE”, and press MENU.
● To cancel protection, select “RETURN”.

NOTES:
● If the “ ” mark appears, the currently displayed file is protected. ● When the memory card is initialised or corrupted, even protected files are deleted. If you do not want to lose important files, transfer them to a PC and save them.

press MENU. The NO. RESET screen appears.

4 Press + or – to select “EXECUTE”, and press
MENU. The new folder (such as “101JVCGR”) will be made and the file name of the next shot starts from DVC00001.

NOTE:
If the file name reaches DVC09999, a new folder (such as “101JVCGR”) will be made and the file name will start again from DVC00001.
