The manual was complete and of great quality. Originally a tri-lingual file, I first received only one language. After a note to owners-manuals.com, I quickly received the remaining languages... Great service, definitely worth it.

The Philips scope is of excellent quality, longevity and build and had a couple of faults
when it was passed to me. Having the CCT diagrams is a blessing.
I have fixed the problems and also modded the scope to my requirements.
I have built a 24v Li-Ion pack for portable use from old but good laptop batts.

The manual was made available promptly. I is a clean scan of the original. I had no problem downloading it. The scan was well centered and cleanly formatted. It is as good a product as can be had without being the original document.
The Black & White Fader does not work.
â¢ The Sepia or Monotone mode is activated. Â¥ Turn off Sepia and Monotone ( pg. 23).
Images on the LCD monitor appear dark or whitish.
â¢ In places subject to low temperature, images become dark due to the characteristics of the LCD monitor. When this happens, the displayed colours differ from those that are actually recorded. This is not a defect of the camcorder. â¢ When the LCD monitor's fluorescent light reaches the end of its service life, images on the LCD monitor become dark. Consult your nearest JVC dealer. Â¥ Adjust the brightness and angle of the LCD monitor ( pg. 12).
The image looks like the shutter speed is too slow.
â¢ When shooting in the dark, the unit becomes highly sensitive to light when âGAIN UPâ is set to âAUTOâ in the Menu Screen. Â¥ If you want the lighting to look more natural, set âGAIN UPâ to âAGCâ or âOFFâ in the Menu Screen ( pg. 29).
White Balance cannot be activated.
â¢ The Sepia or Monotone mode is activated. Â¥ Turn off Sepia or Monotone before setting White Balance ( pg. 23, 27).
The rear of the LCD monitor is hot.
â¢ The light used to illuminate the LCD monitor causes it to become hot. Â¥ Close the LCD monitor to turn it off or set the Power Switch u to âOFF (CHARGE)â, and let the unit cool down.
When shooting a subject illuminated by bright light, vertical lines appear.
â¢ This is a result of exceedingly high contrast, and is not a malfunction.
The indicators and the image colour on the LCD monitor are not clear.
â¢ This may occur when the surface or the edge of the LCD monitor is pressed.
When the screen is under direct sunlight during shooting, the screen becomes red or black for an instant.
â¢ This is not a malfunction.
The LCD monitor or viewfinder indications blink.
â¢ Certain Fade/Wipe effects, certain modes of Programme AE with special effects, âDISâ and other functions that cannot be used together are selected at the same time. Â¥ Re-read the sections covering Fade/Wipe effects, Programme AE with special effects and âDISâ ( pg. 23, 24, 29).
The date/time does not appear.
â¢ âDATE/TIMEâ is set to âOFFâ in the Menu Screen. Â¥ Set âDATE/TIMEâ to âONâ in the Menu Screen ( pg. 30, 32).
Files stored on the memory card cannot be deleted.
â¢ Files stored on the memory card are protected. Â¥ Remove protection from the files stored on the memory card and delete them ( pg. 20).
Coloured bright spots appear all over the LCD monitor or the viewfinder.
â¢ The LCD monitor and the viewfinder are made with high-precision technology. However, black spots or bright spots of light (red, green or blue) may appear constantly on the LCD monitor or the viewfinder. These spots are not recorded on the tape. This is not due to any defect of the unit. (Effective dots: more than 99.99 %)
Time code does not appear.
â¢ âTIME CODEâ is set to âOFFâ in the Menu Screen. Â¥ Set âTIME CODEâ to âONâ in the Menu Screen ( pg. 31, 32).
During recording, sound cannot be heard.
â¢ This is normal.
Play, Rewind and Fast-Forward functions do not work.
