 SX-PR100 TECHNICS Owner's Manual by Bob Anderson;
This manual covers the main equipment features only. While it also includes the procedure for saving and loading from the now long obsolete memory cards it does not mention the how to operate with the optional floppy drive interface so I am still at a loss about how to use this! Note that there is a separate manual covering the MIDI interface and programming via the keyboard, not included in this download. You will also need to get hold of this if you want to use the MIDI interface properly. Basically there is little difference between this manual and the free to download manual for the similar PR60 model.

TROUBLESHOOTING (cont.)
POSSIBLE CAUSES
39. • The speaker volume is too great. 40.
————

SYMPTOM
39. Images on the LCD monitor are jittery. 40. The LCD monitor, the viewfinder and the lens have become dirty (ex. fingerprints). 41. An unusual mark appears.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
39. • Turn the speaker volume down ( pg. 42). 40. • Wipe them gently with soft cloth. Wiping strongly can cause damage. 41. • Check the section of the manual that explains LCD monitor/viewfinder indications ( pg. 72, 73). 42. • Remove the power supply (battery pack, etc.) and wait a few minutes for the indication to clear. When it does, you can resume using the camcorder. If the indication remains even though you repeat the above two or three times, please consult your nearest JVC dealer. 43 • To protect the battery, it is recommended to charge it in places with a temperature of 10°C to 35°C ( pg. 76). 44.

42. An error indication (E01 — E06) appears.

42. • A malfunction of some kind has occurred. In this case the camcorder’s functions become unusable.

43. The charger indicator on the AC Power Adapter/Charger does not light.

43. • The temperature of the battery is extremely high/low. • Charging is difficult in places subject to extremely high/low temperatures. 44. • This occurs when recording in the LP mode is not available. After the indicator blinks, the recording mode switches to “SP” and recording goes on. 45. • The viewfinder is pulled out. • The LCD monitor's brightness setting is too dark.

44. The recording mode indicator “LP” blinks.

45. Picture does not appear on the LCD monitor.

45. • Push the viewfinder back in. • Adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor ( pg. 17). • If the monitor is tilted upward 180 degrees, open the monitor fully ( pg. 16). 46. • By recording with “DIS” activated ( pg. 29) this can be avoided. 47. • Turn the camcorder’s power off and on again, then operate it.

46. When the image is printed from the printer, a black bar appears at the bottom of the screen. 47. When the camcorder is connected via the DV connector, the camcorder does not operate.
