Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much...
But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings.
I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too!

To record stereo and bilingual programmes (A2)
â Stereo programmes are automatically recorded in stereo on the Hi-Fi audio track (with the normal audio track recording mixed L and R channel sound). â Bilingual programmes are automatically recorded in bilingual on the Hi-Fi audio track. The main soundtrack is recorded on the normal audio track.
To record NICAM stereo and bilingual programmes
The NICAM audio programme is recorded on the Hi-Fi audio track, and the standard audio programme on the normal audio track.

â If the quality of stereo sound being received is poor, the broadcast may be received in monaural with better quality. â Before playing back a programme recorded in stereo, or a bilingual programme, refer to âSelecting Soundtrackâ ( 6).
S-VHS (Super VHS), S-VHS ET or VHS Recording Mode
This VCR can record in S-VHS (Super VHS), S-VHS ET or VHS. â To record in S-VHS: Set âS-VHSâ to âONâ ( 12). Then, insert a cassette marked âS-VHSâ. The S-VHS indicator lights up on the display panel. The S-VHS recording mode is selected. â To record in S-VHS ET on a VHS cassette: Set âS-VHS ETâ to âONâ ( 11). Then, insert a cassette marked âVHSâ. The S-VHS indicator lights up on the display panel. â To record in VHS: Insert a cassette marked âVHSâ. Set âS-VHS ETâ to âOFFâ ( 11). â To record in VHS on a S-VHS cassette: Insert a cassette marked âS-VHSâ. The S-VHS indicator lights up on the display panel. Then, set âS-VHSâ to âOFFâ ( 12). The S-VHS indicator goes off. The VHS recording mode is selected.
SHOWVIEWTM Timer Programming
The SHOWVIEW numbers are the numbers next to the programme in most TV listing. A Press PROG to access the Timer Programming Set screen.
B Press RT to place the pointer next to âSHOWVIEWâ, then press OK or . The SHOWVIEW NO. screen appears.
When playing back a tape that has been recorded in S-VHS or S-VHS ET, the S-VHS indicator lights up on the display panel regardless of the âS-VHS ETâ ( 11) or âS-VHS MODEâ ( 12) setting.
C Press the appropriate number keys to
input the SHOWVIEW number, then press OK. The SHOWVIEW program screen appears. â If the number you entered is invalid, âERRORâ appears on the screen. Press & and input a valid SHOWVIEW number. â Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is displayed; if âTV PROGâ displays ââ ââ, set the channel position number correctly. Press PR R/T to input the channel position number on which your recorder receives the station. Then press OK. â To set the tape speed, press p(SP/LP). â To set the VPS/PDC mode, press VPS/PDC (number key â7â). â To change the stop time, press STOP / (number keys â2â and/or â5â). â To timer-record daily (MondayâFriday) or weekly serials, press DAILY (number key â8â) or WEEKLY (number key â9â). Pressing the button again makes the âDAILYâ or âWEEKLYâ display disappear. â To change the channel position number, press PR R/T.
Up to 8 timer recording programmes can be made. Before starting: â Set the clock properly. ( 13) â Set âCOLOUR SYSTEMâ to the appropriate mode. ( â Load a cassette with the record safety tab intact.

displayed on the display panel. To timer-record a satellite broadcast using the SHOWVIEW system: A Set âL-2 SELECTâ to âA/Vâ ( 10). B Perform steps 1 â 5. C Set the satellite receiver to the appropriate channel before the selected programme begins. D Leave the satellite receiverâs power on.
