Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!
Timer Recording
Up to 8 timer recording programmes can be made. Before starting: â Set the clock properly. ( 13) â Set âCOLOUR SYSTEMâ to the appropriate mode. ( â Load a cassette with the record safety tab intact.

â PDC recording is not possible in Central and Eastern Europe. â If all the 8 programmes have already been set, âPROGRAM FULLâ appears on the screen. â If the clock is not set, âCLOCK MUST BE SETâ appears on the screen. â After timer recording is completed, the recorder turns off automatically. â If the tape reaches its end during timer recordings, the recording stops and â#â, â â and â $â on the display panel blink. Press # to disengage timer, then press 0 on the recorder to eject the cassette or press 1 then press 3 to rewind the tape. â You can programme the timer recording while a regular recording is in progress; the menu screens will not be recorded.
