Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much... But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings. I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Using the DVD MULTI Playback Mode
This receiver provides the DVD MULTI playback mode for reproducing the analog discrete output mode of the DVD player. Before playing back a DVD, refer also to the manual supplied with the DVD player.

From the remote control:

Activating the DVD MULTI Playback Mode
You can adjust the DVD MULTI playback mode while playing back a DVD using the analog discrete output mode on the DVD player. Once you have made adjustments, the receiver memorizes the adjustments until you change them. You also need to set the DVD player to the analog discrete output mode. Before you start, remember.... There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is canceled before you finish, start from step 1 again.

When you select “DVD MULTI” as the source to play, Surround mode is canceled, and the SURROUND ON/OFF and SURROUND MODE buttons do not work.

Select the analog discrete output mode on the DVD player, and start playing a DVD.
• Refer also to the manual supplied with the DVD player. If you need to make any adjustments, go to the following steps.

Press SOUND.
The 10 keys are activated for adjusting the sound.

Adjust the speaker output levels.
• To adjust the center speaker level, press CENTER +/– (–10 to +10).

• When you select “DVD MULTI” as the source to play, the Surround mode is canceled, and the SURROUND ON/OFF and SURROUND MODE buttons do not work. • If you select the source to DVD MULTI while using both the speakers connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS 1 and 2 terminals, the speakers connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS
2 terminals are deactivated. • When selecting “DVD MULTI” as the source, you can only select either the speakers connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS 1 or 2 terminals.

• To adjust the left rear speaker level, press REAR•L +/– (–10 to +10).

Adjust the speaker output levels. 1) Press ADJUST repeatedly until one of the following indications appears on the display:

CENTER :To adjust the center speaker output level (–10 to +10). REAR L : To adjust the left rear speaker output level (–10 to +10). REAR R : To adjust the right rear speaker output level (–10 to +10).

2) Press CONTROL UP 5/DOWN ∞ to adjust the selected speaker output levels.

3) Repeat steps 1) and 2) to adjust the other speaker output levels.
