Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.

Using the Microphone and Multiplex CDs
By plugging in the microphone, you can use the System for Karaoke or microphone mixing. You can also add an echo to the microphone’s sound.

Karaoke and microphone mixing are only available when you select the CD source with a playable disc inside. • When you will not be using the microphone, keep the MIC VOLUME control set to MIN and disconnect the microphone. Always set the MIC VOLUME control to MIN when connecting or disconnecting the microphone.

• After you have finished singing along, always cancel the Karaoke mode. • If “howling” occurs, keep the microphone away from the speakers. • During recording, you cannot change the Vocal Masking.

Applying an echo to your voice
You can apply echo to your voice through the microphone during CD mode only. Press the DIGITAL ECHO button on the Remote Control until “ECHO ON” appears on the display. Pressing the button alternates between echo ON and OFF. “ECHO ON” and “ECHO OFF” will appear on the display for 3 seconds.
