I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. SUBTITLE
You can select the default subtitle language to be displayed if it is contained on the disc. Each time you press CURSOR 3, the language setting changes in the following order:

� STREAM/PCM When you connect to the digital input of an amplifier with a built-in DTS, Dolby Digital, or MPEG Multichannel decoder.
� DOLBY DIGITAL/PCM When you connect to the digital input of a Dolby Digital decoder, or an amplifier with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder. The following chart shows the relationship between types of playback discs and output signals.
